Animas Valley Farms is located in the lush Animas Valley, just north of Durango, Colorado. Our four acre farm is part of the Sugnet Family Ranch established in 1990.  The Animas River meanders through a broad floodplain on the ranch bottomlands, bringing snowmelt for irrigation from the San Juan Mountains, and fine sandy loam soil deposits—an ideal growing medium for our organic produce.

Our goal is to provide the community and surrounding areas with a unique variety of organic and locally grown vegetables. By growing organic, our products do not contain undesirable toxins such as pesticides, heavy metals, and industrial chemicals. We believe, as farmers, it is important to do our part to preserve the cleanliness of our land, water, air, and food as best we can while supporting the community by growing local.
